EastWest Airlines and operating partner Sharp Airlines are pleased to observe strong patronage on the new Melbourne (Essendon) to Griffith airline service from the travelling public since the inception of the route on 15th July 2019.
In this short period of time, the Griffith and Riverina communities have demonstrated their great support for the new air service which provides a valuable link between the region and Melbourne. EastWest Marketing Specialist, Vianney Rouille, noted "Passenger numbers have grown significantly since commencing the services in July. Eight hundred passengers have already used the service."

"Our consistent, timely performance over the past month is a testament to the operational strength of Sharp Airlines and the clear advantages of flying from Melbourne's congestion-free Essendon Fields Airport."
As a result of the strong patronage and highly positive feedback on the Melbourne to Griffith route, EastWest and Sharp will expand the schedule, introducing four additional flights per week. These new return services - one on Thursday afternoons, the other on Friday mornings, will commence from Sunday 22nd September 2019.
